On Thursday 21 May, KUMEKO has signed an agreement to acquire the entire share capital of Ecoports Finland Oy and merge the company with the KUMEKO Group's port operations company. Ecoports Finland Oy is a port operation company established in 1994, which serves customers in the port of Eurajoki with various bulk, bulk and project cargoes. The merger will create a strong, competitive and innovative port operator for the growing export trade and logistics needs.
The aim of the acquisition is to support the KUMEKO Group's logistical objectives and long-term growth strategy. In the future, KUMEKO will operate in the private port of Eurajoki in addition to the Mäntyluoto port in Pori. The port of Eurajoki has seen a significant increase in traffic volumes in recent years.

KUMEKO's port operating company Aava Shipping Oy has been operating in Pori's Mäntyluoto port since 2020, creating updated solutions, completely new traffic and employment in the area.

Ecoports employees will move to KUMEKO as senior employees. The current management of Ecoports will continue to work for the company during the transition period. Operations will continue uninterrupted.
The activities of the acquired company include loading and unloading ships and storing products in the port. The company also provides ship clearance services. The company's turnover in 2025 was EUR 1,4 million. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
